ADVICE FOR USING AND STORING INCONTINENCE PRODUCTS At HARTMANN, we always use compact packaging to ensure your products take up as little space as possible for storage. To maintain your continence care products in optimal condition, you should: Store open and unopened packets of incontinence products at room temperature, away from humidity, as moisture in the air will be attracted to the super-absorbent core in the pad. For example, do not store in your shed, garage or bathroom. If you are at risk of skin damage from pressure, it is advisable to smooth the folds in your continence pad by hand prior to use. Before use: Remove incontinence pads from packaging at least half an hour before use, to allow the cellulose fibres in your continence care product to ‘breathe’ and ‘fluff’ up after storage. This will ensure the product is at its best before use. Why not remove your daily supply of disposable incontinence pads from the packet the night before?
